Squelch threshold guide: Lower (more negative) = more sensitive, opens on weaker signals
but more likely to false-trigger on noise. Higher (less negative) = stricter, only opens on strong signals
but you may miss quieter mobiles. Typical UHF starting points: −60 to −50 dB with CTCSS, −50 to −40 dB without.
If you're missing calls, drop by 5 dB at a time.
Heads up: Saving will restart rtl_airband. Live streams drop for ~5–10 seconds.
If the new config fails to start, the previous config is automatically restored.
Frequency span between the two channels must be ≤ 2.0 MHz to fit in the SDR's window.
